Our Stories

Hannah

Hannah thrives on the routine of attending our weekday services year-round, which provides her with essential stability and purpose. She has developed meaningful friendships through our program, eagerly sharing her activities and achievements. The social enterprise aspect has been particularly transformative, offering Hannah genuine work opportunities where she confidently manages money during sales—demonstrating her growing practical skills and independence within the community.

Connor

Through our public transport training program, Connor underwent a remarkable transformation. Once dependent on others, he now navigates buses and trains with growing independence. His newfound mobility has expanded his world, enhancing crucial life skills and social connections. Connor's confidence has flourished—he now readily seeks support when needed and takes pride in helping newer participants navigate their own journeys.

Tendai

Through our weekly music sessions, Tendai discovered a transformative outlet for self-expression. Once hesitant, she now eagerly learns various instruments and confidently signs Makaton alongside melodies. Music has become her voice, building her confidence and creating meaningful connections with others. The joy that radiates from her during these sessions reflects how profoundly this creative journey has enriched her life.

Robert

Through our swimming program, Robert has experienced a profound transformation. Each session in the water has built his confidence visibly, creating ripples that extend throughout his life. His enthusiastic participation has evolved into a genuine passion for movement. This newfound enjoyment of physical activity has inspired Robert to embrace various active pursuits, revealing a more vibrant, engaged version of himself.
